Founder & Visionary
Dr. Jacques Kienagonzwe Asamboa
The University of Globalization was founded by Dr. Jacques Kienagonzwe Asamboa, also known as Dr. James Kiena Asamboa, a visionary scholar and education leader. Dr. Asamboa is currently pursuing a PhD in Literature in English, and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English from the University of Kisangani. He was also awarded an honorary doctorate in Tourism Management from Euro Asia University. Prior to founding UNIGLOB, he served as Senior Lecturer and General Academic Secretary at the Université Professionnelle de l’Afrique (UPA), where he contributed significantly to academic program development and institutional governance.
Driven by a mission to make higher education accessible worldwide, Dr. Asamboa envisioned UNIGLOB as a fully online and distance university capable of offering high-quality, internationally recognized programs. Under his leadership, the university has expanded rapidly, providing students with more than 200 programs across multiple levels while promoting international academic collaboration and innovative digital learning. His vision is to empower learners through practical knowledge, research opportunities, and professional competence, preparing them for careers in an interconnected global world.
